Film acting brings together technical and method acting in a way the stage simply cannot because it is a half breed. I believe the best acting comes from the heart and soul, where you as a human put yourself in a purely empathetic place until you no longer recognize the difference between you and the character you are experiencing. However, there is a side to film making that is brought to you by science, transforming a three dimensional image into two dimensional space. This alone forces any actor to embrace a part of the technical process as well, wavering the mind and soul into a symbiotic dance where you are the container and contained.
